We looked for ages to find a designer that had a style we liked then saw Earth Designs on Pinterest. Although we were outside their catchment area for the design and build service, we valued the design. Kat agreed to provide a remote design service from concept to final scheme with planting. It was an absolute pleasure working with Kat and her team. She challenged us on a a number of our choices which is exactly what we needed to come up with the final design. Thanks Kat, cant wait to get it landscaped.

  I greatly enjoyed my initial consultation with Kat. Although I wasn’t quite sure about what exactly we wanted in the garden, Kat was able to quickly put together a stunning design, something I would never have thought of. I would highly recommend speaking to Kat if your garden needs a refresh or you feel stuck with your current lay out.

As a relatively inexperienced gardener, I was overwhelmed by my house's new build garden which was a total blank slate. Katrina took the time to listen to what we wanted, and came up with a beautiful design drawing to inspire us. The consultation was so helpful, and she thought of ideas I never would have dreamed of which work so well with what we were looking for. I now feel as though I finally have a vision for our garden and a plan of action to put it in place. Thank you!

I cannot recommend Earth Designs enough! Having moved to a new build home I wanted to create a new garden. Katrina was brilliant. I had a 2 hour online consultation via zoom and came away from the session feeling very excited about the design that had Katrina created. She completely understood the look I want to create and gave lots of advice and good ideas. Within two hours she had created an amazing concept drawing for me to make reality. The whole process was extremely pleasant and professional. 

After initially being a little hesitant about having a garden consultation over Zoom due to Covid-19 restrictions, my wife and I came away from the session feeling uplifted and very excited about the lovely design Katrina created for our space. The whole process was extremely pleasant, personable and professional. Katrina had a good understanding of our garden space from photos and videos sent by us and by doing her own research. Katrina is extremely knowledgeable around all aspects of garden design and we are really looking forward to the design stage where Matt will visit our garden for a site survey. We thoroughly recommend Earth Designs to anyone considering a garden makeover.

We’re at the beginning of our garden project and have had an inspiring first consultation via Zoom. We’re super excited to go to the next stage. Katrina was helpful and knowledgable and could see extra dimensions that we’d never have thought of. 

Kat and her team are so easy and professional to work with. Kat listens carefully to your ideas and creates a design that really reflects your individual needs and wants. She managed to find creative solutions to practical problems, like storage, without compromising on the overall look of the garden. Then Matt and his landscaping team brought her design to life. I can’t fault the quality of their work or experience of having them around. They were polite and hard working, solving any issues quickly and without stress - and the end result is stunning. 

We have been abandoned with a catalogue of errors in the landscaping. Nearly a year after EarthDesigns started landscaping our garden they have walked away from the project, leaving us thousands of pounds out of pocket and desperately trying to get other contractors to fix their mess. The most egregious issue is that both ponds that they installed leak, so we have been unable to fill them and our fish are still in a temporary pond. A summary of other problems follows: - Grouting around paving poorly done and already coming away, paving is not level in places causing water pooling - Tiling on feature wall badly fitted, bodged with mastic, white stains leaking out on to slate tiles, feature water spouts fitted using mastic and alreay coming loose - Render peeling off planters (within 6 months of being rendered) - Incorrect plants, dead plants, plants in wrong places - Damage to newly installed patio door tracks during landscaping due to carelessness of Matt's contractors - Astroturf lawn area badly fitted, trip hazards on onse side of lawn, gaps on the other - Incorrect foundations laid for hard-landscaping, leaving areas of the garden that can't be planted due to concrete being laid We had to get involved several times a day during the build because the workmen that he left on the job hadn't been given plans to work to and there wasn't a project manager. Additionally, the specialists that Matt said he would get involved didn't materialise (pond specialist, plantsman). A 'three month' job turned in to 6 months and then they just walked away from the mess.

Katrina and Matt transformed our lovely but well-worn garden into an urban oasis. While there were a few hiccups along the way (issues with a contractor who sabotaged our paving stones over a pay dispute), the team were hard-working and ensured the project was completed at high standards. I especially appreciated Katrina's initial advice, as I had initially contacted them purely about installing pleaching trees and a possible home office idea. Instead she encouraged me to look beyond that idea and fundamentally rethink the garden itself. Thanks again for your efforts, we love it!

As a keen gardener, I cannot describe how happy I am living with a beautiful garden. It is not just a garden for Carol. It is Carol’s garden because Katrina has the ability to understand her customer and brought my requests to life. After research and serious consideration, I had decided to treat myself to a new garden. Earth Designs spent three weeks to transform our jungle into a modern city paradise. As I requested, a low maintenance but interesting garden was born by their hard work. Thank you to the team that made my dream come true. In this inviting place I hear birds singing, watch cats running up and down the fencing. Foxes and squirrels have been a couple of times. I feel great that I was very wise to choose Earth Designs to do the makeover.

From the fabulous garden design through to the building of the garden it was a pleasure to have the garden makeover undertaken by Matt and Katrina and their team. The design has cleverly made the issues with the garden into features and the planting scheme has plenty of colour and variety. They even sourced an artist to undertake the art work which was one of the features I wanted incorporated in the garden design. I now have a beautiful space in which to relax and entertain.

After following Earth designs on Pinterest for a while, I wanted a garden just like their photos. Stylish with lots of green and maintenance free. When I discovered that I could have a remote consult, I contacted Katrina and we set a date. I couldn’t be more happy with the outcome! We have never used a garden designer before, but having moved to a new build house with just a patch of grass (overlooked) we felt we needed some advice and inspiration. We therefore decided to book an online consultation with Earth Designs. We really enjoyed the experience. The Zoom call was relaxed and informal. Katrina took into account our wishes and made some practical suggestions. After an initial chat, I felt she totally understood the style we were aiming for. To my surprise, she suggested designing the garden at an angle – something I would never have thought of. I now realise it makes perfect sense with our wide but shallow garden. She suggested different seating areas for different times of the day, taking into account the position of the sun and our preferences and lifestyle. She suggested trees and shrubs we could plant to make the space feel more private. Finally, she gave us a lovely labelled sketch of the basic plan and we are now excited to make a start implementing all the ideas. We were so impressed with the service that we are now considering asking Katrina to help us with the next stage in producing a detailed plan, 3D visuals and a planting list. Very professional service - would highly recommend.

She had great ideas to enhance our long and narrow garden and also great tips for building in interest for kids without it taking over the garden and also growing with them. We had had a consultation with someone else prior to this and the experience was night and day - despite it only being a short session Katrina’s ideas were tailored to our space and she provided a follow up sketch which has been so useful to work on the space (we are doing as much ourselves as we can - if we had the budget, we’d definitely use Katrina more).

After receiving a disappointing garden design from somewhere recommended, I found Katrina through Pinterest. From the start, she was very flexible and approachable. We gave Katrina our wish list for our garden and despite it not being a huge plot, she somehow managed to incorporate everything we asked for! Her visit was inspiring and having Katrina create a concept for our garden was a truly valuable experience. We would not hesitate to recommend.

Katrina produced a wonderful design for our back garden. It included a WWOO kitchen with a Big Green Egg, which wasn't initially in our plans. We were in awe of it, and decided to continue with the plan. Needless to say we have been using it throughout the winter, despite the weather. Katrina also incorporated Moroccan tiled walls, Moroccan screens above our pergola, and my favourite a FIG tree. Lots of trees, grasses and ferns were planted too. Six months on from completion we still stand at our kitchen window gawping at our lovely garden. The plants are starting to really establish themselves, and are starting to flower. I want to create a garden from scratch next year and already had quite firm design ideas but thought I’d take advantage of getting professional ideas on top. Katrina listened, challenged, opened my mind to new ideas, vistas, areas and practical ways to start looking things. Exactly what I needed. Well worth the fee. We spent a fantastic couple of hours on Zoom with Katrina discussing a design for our front garden. It was amazing to see her ideas come to life during the call and we were so pleased with the result that we've booked a 2nd consultation for the back garden!

We recently had a consultation over Zoom to help re-imagine our well-established but somewhat tired garden. Katrina was very engaging and came up with a design that was well-thought out and original, and was sent over promptly. We wanted a space that was kid-friendly, relaxing, offered more privacy and was a welcoming environment for wildlife. Unfortunately we don't have the budget to crack on with the work immediately, but it's given us a plan to work to and a greater appreciation of the potential of our space.

What a fantastic 2 hours. Katrina took the images and fragments of ideas we had and turned them into a full garden design with ease. We had a design consultation with Katrina over Zoom to talk about our garden project. Katrina was great; full of good ideas and really listened to what we wanted to achieve from the garden. It was really helpful to get an expert opinion on what would work for our space and ways to achieve the goals we have in mind for the garden, such as increased privacy and storage. It was very easy chatting with Katrina and watching her prepare a proposed design (and receiving it immediately!) was a brilliant edition to the discussion. I had a fantastic initial consultation with Kat. I have a small gardena and was completely lost with how to use the space and create a garden I want to actually use and sit in. She understood what I wanted immediately and came up with ideas I really wouldn't have conceived of on my own. She showed me the cons of some of the concepts I had been thinking about and drew a much better, more interesting plan. She understood my vision and utilised the ideas I had expressed interest in. I’ve been keen to update my garden for some time and engaged Earth Designs for some ideas. Katrina was fantastic. I’ve had an initial discussion and a drawing provided. Despite reading many magazines and thinking i had some good ideas I would never have been able to create what Katrina designed. Our session lasted over an hour and Katrina listened to all my ideas and guided me making suggestions and working to my budget. Katrina has such an amazing vision and vast experience. I feel very lucky to have met her and gained the benefit of her talent. I’m excited now to see how the drawings move forward to the contemporary remodel of my garden.

Earth Designs re-created our garden in Leytonstone, London. After an initial consultation with Kat (and previously with other garden designers), it was obvious that our budget wouldn't stretch too far. Kat and Matt worked through alternatives for us though so that we could still achieve something desirable and on the whole I am very happy with the outcome. I think we were unlucky with timing with the guys having a family bereavement, illness and bad weather to deal with. This meant that a 1-2 week project lasted over 5 weeks as Matt and his team were stretched over 2 projects. The final result though is lovely, to budget and has transformed our outdoor space, and we have Kat and Matt to thank for that.
