When the swimming pool becomes the sea
The house is in a magnificent location, in Mahon’s marina, with amazing views. The design principle is to orientate all the rooms towards the views, positioning them in the main façade.
The house has 3 floors. The ground floor, that gives access to the house, has the parking and annex spaces. Through the entrance we arrive to a vertical access that communicates with the other floors and that is emphasised with glass facades covering the height of the house. The first floor comprises the day area: living-dining room, kitchen and service areas. The second floor has the bedrooms, always overlooking the views which are actually in the most convenient orientation.
The house is adapted to the ground through two sidesteps on the facade that form three bodies with a terrace on the side. This gives the design a continuous image that makes the façade vary depending on where it’s looked from.
