Today’s dose of design inspiration comes from Vero Concept Mimarlık, an architectural firm located in Turkey. Founded in 2009 by architectural partners Emre Öztürk and Gonca Ateş Öztürk, Vero Concept Mimarlık specialises in both architectural structures and interior design.

One look at the company’s growing portfolio will confirm its reputation for elegance, as a range of completed projects (in Turkey and abroad) speak of that special first-class touch. What’s the secret to Vero Concept Mimarlık’s success? Some say it’s the company’s division structure (made up of architects, interior designers, as well as graphic designers) ensuring 100% commitment to each and every client’s project. Other say it’s due to the firm’s 300+ successfully completed designs (ranging from residential homes and villas to corporate offices, hospitals, schools and cafés, and many more… ) that aid in its experience and status.

Let’s get lost in one of Vero Concept Mimarlık’s most visually striking projects: a luxurious villa in Sapanca just waiting to wow its very fortunate residents…

Perfectly practical

Designed with the intent of using it in the warmer summer months (hint: that gorgeous swimming pool), this holiday villa sports the modern design style with so much charm. Just feast your eyes on those straight lines, warm earthy/neutral colours, and the delicious way in which the rear side of the house opens up – almost as if it’s welcoming all of nature indoors.

Sloping landscape? No problem

Slanted terrain always presents its fair share of problems, especially if a stylish and safe structure needs to be built on said slanted property. However, these experts are clearly professionals when it comes to first-rate results, as the final design of the house neatly fits into the uneven terrain – almost as if the two were made to belong together?

The luxurious interiors

We finally make it indoors to reveal a world of elegance from floors to (really high) ceilings. Strutting the same modern design style as outside, the interiors also enjoy a much lighter colour palette that helps to make it seem more spacious (not that it needs to).

Our favourite piece here? It has to be that golden, eye-catching lighting fixture dangling neatly above the similar-styled table.

Fabulous furnishings

Visual splendour is one thing, but comfort is something else. And yes, for a truly successful design (no matter what room you're busy with), both need to be established.

Fortunately, these modern furnishings seem to be as comfortable and relaxing as they are stylish. And don’t you love the neat little groupings made up by the various furniture pieces?

The dining area

A hop and a skip away from the super spacious living/seating area is where we discover the glamorous dining room. Consisting of slim-style and sleek pieces, this dining zone also treats diners to some excellent garden views and a fresh dose of natural lighting.

The sleek cooking space

Speaking of dining, see how superbly the dining- and cooking areas match up in terms of style (colour, textures, etc.). And the close proximity between the two zones also means no more leaving the hard-working host/cook out of delicious gossip stories at that dinner-party table.

The bathroom

There’s definitely a ‘less is more’ approach to this project – just look at the commitment to open spaces instead of cluttered zones. That same dedication to a subtle style (and functional interiors) gets translated perfectly here in the modern bathroom, where wall-mounted features help to free up as much legroom as possible.

What's your opinion on that eye-catching mosaic-tile effect making the bathroom mirror so much more prominent?
